Injury Updates: Skubal, Acuña, Raleigh, Smith, Cruz

Major League Baseball provided updates on injured players across the league.
Tarik Skubal, pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, will return from the injured list to start against the Guardians on June 13. Skubal underwent surgery 38 days prior to this return and dealt with a loose body in his left elbow.
Justin Verlander faced challenges during his second rehab start for Triple-A Toledo, where he gave up four runs, all via solo homers, across 5 2/3 innings on June 10. He struck out three batters in that outing.
Kenley Jansen also appeared in a rehab game for Triple-A Toledo on June 10, allowing three runs on two hits in two-thirds of an inning, and he recorded one strikeout. Meanwhile, Casey Mize is set to start for the Tigers on June 14 in Cleveland, barring any setbacks related to right groin tightness.
From the Atlanta Braves, Ronald Acuña Jr. was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 10 due to a left hamstring strain. Braves' manager Walt Weiss indicated that the injury is not believed to be as serious as the one that sidelined Acuña for 16 days back in May. In a related update, Drake Baldwin is scheduled to face live pitching on June 11 and June 12 before beginning a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett.
Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners was transferred to Triple-A Tacoma for his rehab assignment on June 9, where he excelled by hitting two home runs in his first game, including a grand slam. Colt Emerson experienced back tightness but optimistically took swings in the cage on June 9. On the other hand, Matt Brash was placed on the 15-day IL on June 10 due to a right lat strain, while Cooper Criswell was also placed on the 15-day IL for a right shoulder strain on June 9.
Will Smith of the Los Angeles Dodgers was placed on the 10-day IL on June 11 with neck inflammation. Further updates include various players from the Pittsburgh Pirates, such as Konnor Griffin beginning throwing from 90 feet on June 10, Oneil Cruz being placed on the 10-day IL with non-displaced fractures in his left hand, and Endy Rodriguez leaving the game on June 10 with left hip discomfort.
In the New York Mets organization, Kodai Senga returned to his rehab assignment on June 11 and is set to pitch for Double-A Binghamton on June 12. Luis Robert Jr. started baseball activities earlier in June after a lumbar spine disc herniation, while Francisco Lindor is making progress from a left calf strain and will be reevaluated post-homestand, ending on June 14.
